Abstract

The article discusses the opportunities in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling for PET processors. The uses of recycled PET (RPET) reportedly continue to expand, including for athletic gear, luggage and mattresses, and food and beverage containers. The expansion of PET recycling is partly due to the consumers' growing environmental awareness. Another reason is the growing legislative activity around sustainability initiatives.
