Abstract

One of the government's efforts to reduce Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is to empower the community through Community Health Volunteer (CHV), because they effectively convey information on maternal health, family planning and become facilitators of trained health workers. In order for optimal assistance, media is needed to assist CHV’s in providing directed and systematic education and motivation for pregnant women. In addition to the MCH handbook, flipcharts have also proven effective in increasing the role of CHV’s.
