Abstract. This research is a type of research with a quantitative descriptive method approach, this study aims to determine the types of errors made in the use of articles (Bestimmte Articles and Unbestimmte Articles) in simple sentence writing skills. The data from this research is the corpus of data in the use of articles, in this case the Bestimmte Articles and Unbestimmte Articles through questions that are done by students. Sources of data in this study were students of class SMA Negeri 7 Wajo with a total of 20 students. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out that the highest number of errors made by students is in the definite article or Bestimmte Article with the Dativ case for the Masculine and Neutral types as many as 19 (95%) students out of 20 students, and the error in using the indefinite article. or Unbestimmte Articles with Dativ cases for the Masculine type, Akkusativ cases for the Masculine and Feminine types, each of which amounted to 19 (95%) students from 20 students.Keywords: Error analysis, Bestimmte Articles, Unbestimmte Articles, writing simple sentences, German.
