Abstract

Singular Yalue Decomposition (SVD) reconstruction method on Continuous Wave Diffuse Optical Tomography (CWDOT) system is developed in this research work. This research aims to create a reconstruction program using SVD method and measure the quality of the image result. This SVD algorithm is built by processing Jacoby matrix from forward problem. This Jacoby is substituted in the linear one-step reconstruction method. The reconstruction image produced by the SVD and the linear one step reconstruction method are compared and analyzed by visually and numerical analysis. This visually analysis is done by viewing the image result, while numerical analysis is done by calculating the root mean square distance (rmsd) value. The visual analysis result of both methods shows that the reconstruction image produced by SVD and the linear one-step reconstruction method is found to be almost similar to the original object. The quality of the image which is produced by the SVD reconstruction method is also better than the quality of the image produced by the linear one-step reconstruction method. It is showed by the smaller rmsd value and running process time.
