Abstract

In this paper, the Lakshmanan–Porsezian–Daniel (LPD) model is investigated for optical solitons. Abundant exact solitary wave solutions of the LPD model are extracted using the modified auxiliary equation method (MAE). The proposed model is investigated for Kerr law of nonlinearity. The MAE method provides the solutions in the form of hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational functions. The 3D plots and 2D contours are presented for physical demonstration of retrieved the solutions.
