Abstract
The purpose of this study was to look at the mortality rate and production index of broiler chickens treated with Lactobacillus sp and antibiotic zinc bacitracin. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD). There are three treatments given, namely; P1 (control), P2 (Lactobacillus sp 5 ml / 250 ml drinking water), P3 (antibiotic zinc bacitracin 75 mg / kg ration). Each treatment there were 5 replications given 4 broilers per repetition, so that the number of broilers used was 60. Lactobacillus sp. given contains a colony of 107 CFU / ml. The measured variables are mortality and production index per week. The results showed no mortality in the treatment given Lactobacillus sp. and zinc bacitracin antibiotics. The effect was significant (P <0.05) on the production index on the 28th day and 35th day. The highest average production index values from the 7th day to the 35th day were found in the antibiotic zinc basitracin treatment and the lowest in the control treatment
