Abstract

This article aims to determine the incidence of socioeconomic variables in the generation of social capital in localities of the city of Bogotá-Colombia with a population living in poverty and low income. A regression analysis methodology was applied, taking into account social capital, official data on social security and its associated variables, thus generating a statistical model to identify the relevance of social capital. Based on the results obtained, it could be observed that some variables analyzed did not affect the model, showing as a central finding that the low level of confidence conditions associativity. The social capital expressed by this population is weak in terms of the contribution to the development of the studied localities.
