Abstract
This survey of the species of vascular plants in the region of Catolés, Chapada Diamantina, BA, was carried out in the municipalities of Abaíra and Piatã, between latitudes 13 13 and 13 25'S, and longitudes 41 37' and 41 50'W, encompassing an area of approximately 880km sq. above 1000 m alt., including teh Pico do Barbado (2033 m), with campo rupestre vegetation predominating.
