Abstract

Farmers on average dry their crops by drying in the sun. Drying can be done every day in the dry season, while during the rainy season the drying process takes a long time. Therefore, a drying machine has been developed to facilitate the drying process. The heat source used comes from sunlight or heated air. The dryer developed is in the form of a closed drying chamber. In general, this study aims to determine research on the mechanism of several agricultural drying machines. The research method used is to review the workings of agricultural dryers. The way the agricultural dryer works on cocoa beans, grain, coffee and cloves has advantages and disadvantages from the drying machine.
