Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) Preparation and continuous assay. The solid-phase synthesis of peptide substrates that contain a scissile thioester bond is described. In addition, as demonstrated for cathepsin D, the first use of thioester substrates for the continuous monitoring of aspartyl protease activity is reported. © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
