Abstract
This article reviews the total quality management program that the Physical Plant Department of the Navy Aviation Supply Office in Pennsylvania. To remedy the problems at this facility, a total quality managment problem solving team, called the Employee Involvement Group, was formed. The task of this group - composed of the department foreman, several carpenters, an electrician, an electronics mechanic, and a tool-room attendant - was clear. Develop a recommendation for machinery replacement and layout. This article reviews the results.
