Abstract

Biceps tendinopathy is a relatively common ailment that typically presents as pain, tenderness, and weakness in the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii. Pathologies occurring in the insertio part of the muscle shouldn’t be hope for. A thorough patient history, physical examination and radiographic evaluation are necessary for diagnosis. Nonsurgical management including rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflamatuvar drugs, physical therapy and injection is approached first in patients with mild disease. Surgical management is indicated for refractory pain or severe disease.
