Abstract

The cytopathogenic changes which occur in tissue cultures infected with the viruses of Western equine encephalomyelitis or of Newcastle disease have been utilized for infectivity titrations of these agents. The reproducibility and degree of accuracy exhibited by suspended tissue culture titrations compare favourably with those obtained by conventional animal inoculation methods.
