Abstract

To the point: The rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric conjugate alkynylation of α, β-unsaturated aldehydes with triisopropylsilyl acetylene proceeded efficiently in methanol to give the β-alkynyl aldehydes in high yields with high enantioselectivity (see Scheme). © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag.
