Abstract
Important variations concerning the habit (prostrate, erect, climbing or running), the physiognomy, the type of habitat and the strategic patterns of space occupation, are owed to small differences in the growth habits; these differences are essentially related to the duration of the growth of the main monopodial stems. -from English summary
