Creative thinking is a talent that all human beings possess; however, some exercise it more than others. From an educational point of view, this type of thinking can be strengthened through various means. The objective of this research was to analyze the basic concepts of creative thinking, their importance, and the most relevant didactic strategies used in the classroom for their effectiveness. For this, a descriptive-analytical study was carried out, reviewing diverse scientific literature in indexed journals. As a result, valuable information was obtained from 54 scientific articles, accessing various sources, databases, and repositories such as Ebsco, Researchgate, Google scholar, Pro-Quest, Scopus, Dialnet, and Eric. The results show that various strategies are worked on in the classroom that strengthens and develop creative thinking. It is concluded that creative thinking can be created from the first levels of primary education with motivating and meaningful activities for students.
