Therefore, the objective of this work is to estimate the profitability of the digitalization process of a grocery store in Honduras. The research design is non-experimental and cross-sectional with a descriptive scope. This research oversees collecting data and was analyzed from a financial perspective. This research shows the perception of using internet as the main tool for commercialization. Information has been collected from 385 people that demonstrates the acceptance of providing online shopping options. The current sales process of the grocery stores has been analyzed including in-store and en-route sales, then the sales process through an online store was analyzed and it has been possible to visualize that the purchase and sale times are reduced by 34% using ecommerce. As conclusion the expected net cash flows at present value exceed the initial investment to be made in the digitization of these stores.
