Abstract
Complaints have long proven to be a useful instrument in the fight against crimes, especially those related to corruption. Undoubtedly, society in general, and in particular each of us who are part of it, have contracted a debt with those who bravely, fearfully assuming the risk of more than foreseeable reprisals, dare to denounce the crimes that they know that are produced. The protection of whistleblowers, the guarantee of confidentiality and especially the preservation of anonymity, are effective measures to begin to pay off that debt. The fear of reprisals to which the complainants are exposed could be overcome when anonymity is facilitated, being the anonymous complaint one of the ways that most encourages the complainant to take the step. In this work, we make a defense of anonymous reporting. For this, we will try to compile those aspects developed from different entities.
