Abstract

Effective hazardous/toxic waste disposal and safe dumpsite cleanup are two of EPA’s major missions in the 1980s. Incineration has been recognized as a very efficient process to destroy the hazardous wastes generated by industry or by the dumpsite remediations. This paper provides an incineration summary ranging from discussion of broad regulatory and permitting requirements through more detailed descriptions of typical incineration processes and monitoring techniques. © 1986 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
