Abstract

We have developed a visible-light-catalyzed alkylation reaction of alkylboronic acids with aromatic enol acetates to synthesize α-alkyl ketones. A variety of unsymmetrical ketones can be obtained in moderate to good yields under mild and simple conditions using alkyl boronic acids as alkylation reagents. In addition, a possible mechanism was proposed for this process.
