Efisiensi Alokatif Usahatani Padi pada Lahan Gambut di Kecamatan Pelalawan, Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau

Abstract

Rice is the food commodities in Indonesia so that the rice farming should provide additional income for farmers. The income of farming can be increased if the use of factors of production – efficient factor. This research aims to (1) Find out the factors that affect the production of rice farming in Pelalawan peat. (2) To the allocative efficiency factor – factors of production of farming rice peat in Pelalawan District. The number of respondents by as much as 50 farmers with sampling deliberately by its location in the village of pelalawan, Pelalawan, pelalawan Regency sub district, Riau Province. The analysis tool is used is a function of the production of Cobb-Douglass with the method of Ordinary Least Square (OLS) assumption of classic trials and to know the purpose of both allocative efficiency analysis i.e. factors of rice farming production of peat in the Pelalawan already inefficient in allocative. The efficiency of input use can occur when farmers are able to make an effort so that the value of the marginal product (NPM) for a given input is equal to the price of inputs. The results showed some variables with the utilization of land area of seed, fertilizer, urea fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide, tsp, labor and social factors and the positive effect against rice farming production of peat in the County Pelalawan is a land area of seed and fertilizer, urea. Allocative efficiency analysis results show the utilization of seeds and use of urea fertilizer use has not been efficient in rice farming peat in Pelalawan, farmers should be wise in responding to it in order to achieve maximum results of rice farming in peat Pelalawan Riau Province.
