Abstract
Some of the buzz words being used in the corporate world these days are Green human resource management, Green leadership, green work-life balance, and green employee engagement. Main purpose of this paper is to analyze solid reasons that would determine “green work-life balance” or, in simple language, “green-washing” work-life balance. An awareness of environmental affairs is not just what is included in Green human resource management, but it also works for the social and economic well-being of the company as well as for their employees. The level of implementation of the practices of Green HRM in the Automobile sector is examined. Particularly the implementation of the five major practices of Green Human Resource Management, which are Green training & development, Green selection & recruitment, Green performance management, Green employee involvement, and Green rewards & compensation. Additionally, the study would also examine the effect of Green HRM on the Work-Life Balance of Employees in the Automobile Industry. Sample of 203 people from automobile industry were surveyed to know the factors that determines the Impact of Green HRM on “Work-Life Balance of Employees” in Automobile Industry. It is found that there is a significant impact of Green HRM on “Work-Life Balance of Employees” in Automobile Industry.
