Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the Student Code of Ethics in shaping the socio-cultural behavior of students at the State Islamic University (UIN) Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Student Code of Ethics at UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan has not yet fully succeeded in transforming students' socio-cultural behavior. This is due to the suboptimal enforcement of sanctions for violations of the code. Another obstacle is the lack of a consistent understanding among lecturers and staff regarding academic services for students. The results of this study can serve as a contribution to the institution, particularly for the vice-rectors in charge of student affairs and the deputy deans responsible for student affairs.Keywords: Effectiveness; Student Code of Ethics; Socio-Culture.
