Abstract

Presence of an ovigerous female of Eustrongylides tubifex has been recorded from the proventriculus of Podiceps major from a Patagonian andean lake. Two new localities for Galaxias maculatus harbouring larvae of E. tubifex are given. Prevalence of infection in lake Quillén is higher than previous reports for Lake Gutierrez.
