Abstract
Male library science students at one midwestern university were found to have mean scores on the femininity scale of the California Psychological Inventory that were significantly greater than norms established by unselected samples of American men. Analysis of data also indicated that approximately one-third of the men participating in this investigation had been dissatisfied with a full-time fob, or occupation, prior to entering library school. A statistically significant inverse correlation was found to exist between the amount of satisfaction these men experienced in such work and their score on the C.P.I. femininity scale.
