Abstract

This title was first published in 2002: The success of any investment strategy in urban infrastructures is dependent on how people as members of households, companies or institutions will use these infrastructures in their daily lives and how actors take decisions on their investment strategies. Insights into these behaviours can help public and private actors to cope with diversity, complexity and uncertainty in a dynamic urban environment. This book elaborates, both theoretically and empirically, the functional and governance/management perspective of urban infrastructures.
