La problemática de la donación de sangre voluntaria no remunerada

Abstract

This article explains the two main strategies of blood donation: 1) voluntary unpaid donation (altruistic), 2) replace- ment donation. After highlighting the advantages of the first one, which is recommended by the World Health Organization, describes the current status and trends in several countries and in Argentina in particular.
