Abstract

This article discusses some features that the problems of care have and the relationships with this problems and the welfare regimes in Latin America. For this, Its describe the demographic transition effects, population aging, changes in the family and poverty. Based on data from ECLAC and UNESCO of 16 Latin American countries argued that the problem of care has a double process of defamiliarization and commodification. The paper conclude that the characteristics of the state devices and the social policies system design, woman is equate to family and the regimen has got an implicit policy of care which is not derived from any model of social justice, and developes new forms inequality.
