Abstract

Operation Search and Rescue (SAR) in general is always a race against time limited by natural conditions and a dynamic weather such as the disappearance of Sukhoi Super Jet-100 on Mount Salak at the time of promotion flight in 2012, so it is important to equip the SAR team overland using a portable device that fly every time used the rescue workers in the field to help detect or visualize the location of the accident at difficult locations or in bad weather and kept visually in the form of videos or pictures. This research proposes the manufacture of vehicle-based remote sensing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) / drone having a four (4) rotor that can assist ground search team to visualize or detect the crash site which is mainly located in mountainous or hilly regions. Drone can be controlled either manually using a remote control or automatically. This paper is the first stage in developing the vehicle, where the main focus is the development frame and electronic circuit that will be develop in further research.
