Abstract

Principles and techniques of the chromatographic separation and analysis are comprehensively discussed with particular attention paid to bibliography-based developments. Calculation of retention data, measurement of peak maximum, as well as standardization of retention data and temperature-programmed data. Qualitative analysis is described in relations to the stationary phase, retention data plots, structure correlations, and instrumental analysis of fraction. Quantitative analysis and determination of solvents, monomers, and plasticizers. Examples of chromatographic analysis of alkyd resins and vegetable oils. Pyrolysis gas chromatography and examination of films.
