Terapi Bermain Lego dalam Menurunkan Tingkat Kecemasan Anak Usia Pra Sekolah Saat Hospitalisasi di Ruang Rawat Anak RSUD Pambalah Batung Amuntai

Abstract

Background: Anxiety Is One of Preschool Aged Children's Responses During Hospitalization. Anxiety during hospitalization causes children to refuse to eat, have trouble sleeping, cry, and refuse to cooperate during treatment. There are several ways to reduce anxiety levels and one of them is playing therapy with Legos. Objective: To determine the effect of playing Lego therapy on the anxiety level of preschool-age children during hospitalization in the pediatric ward of Pambalah Hospital, Batung Amuntai. Method: This study uses a pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Collecting 35 Respondents' Data Using the Zung-Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) Instrument to Measure Anxiety Levels. Respondent Criteria Is Preschool Children Aged 3-6 Years Old With A Minimum Treatment Period Of 2 Days And Not Seriously Illness. The hypothesis testing method used is the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Results: This study shows that at the time of the pretest, 26 people (74.3%) of respondents experienced moderate anxiety. Whereas during the posttest, 28 people (80%) of respondents experienced mild anxiety. The mean value of the anxiety level at the posttest (1.2) is less than the pretest (2.31). Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test Statistical Test Gets P-Value (0.000) < ? (0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of playing Lego therapy on the anxiety level of preschool-age children during hospitalization in the pediatric ward of Pambalah Batung Amuntai Hospital, namely in the form of a decrease in anxiety levels after being given therapy. Lego Play Therapy Makes Preschoolers Interested In Playing It And Generates Pleasure So It Distracts Children From Pain, Tense, Fear Or Sadness.
