Abstract

is known that the global health problems we are in have made distance education a necessity rather than a choice. It is clear that this obligation includes many problems in terms of infrastructure, hardware and application. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of formal higher education students about the distance education process. The study prepared with a qualitative approach has a case study design. Participants are 54 higher education students who were selected with the maximum variation sample of purposive sampling methods and snowball sampling methods. The research data were collected through interview,focus group and document analysis and analyzed by descriptive analysis and content analysis. The findings of the research are presented within the framework of students’ view of distance education, distance education process, effective use of distance education tools, communication in distance education and success in distance education. It was concluded that higher education students had negative experiences about the compulsory distance education process, they felt lack of motivation and the process did not meet their academic expectations
