Abstract

Laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) is an established additive manufacturing (AM) process for the production of metal components. Despite its great potential, the technology has not yet arrived in many small and medium enterprises. The article shows the potential of metal 3D printing with diode lasers to increase the customer value of market accessibility.
