Abstract

This paper introduces a novel Brake Shoe Overheat Indication System designed to enhance the safety of heavy vehicles operating in hill stations. The system utilizes a combination of thermocouples and Arduino microcontroller to monitor and indicate brake shoe temperatures. A threshold temperature of 300 degrees Celsius is set, and the system provides visual indications through green and red lights along with an audible alarm, thereby preventing accidents due to brake overheating.
