Abstract

I analyze the relationships between aspects characterizing organizations that learn and those belonging to organizations that use scientific evidence in educational practices. I applied a questionnaire to the faculty and directors of certain educational centers in the autonomous communities of Catalonia and Madrid. This was answered by 462 professionals belonging to 204 schools. I proved an interrelation between the characteristics of organizations that learn and their approach to practice based on evidence. This re-affirms the importance of colleague actions, the invigorating role of directors, the explicit support of administration and the support for improvement provided by the institution. The importance of these dimensions is conditioned by the autonomous community of origin, ownership, education, titles, and years of work experience. There is no influence from gender and years of experience in the educational center
