Abstract
The majority peri-apical lesions are associated with endodontic pathology, which requires orthograde occlusal approach for root canal instrumentation and obturation. However in certain cases endodontic treatment or retreatment is not feasible, which leaves the only option that is peri-radicular surgical procedure. Four cases of single-rooted teeth with infected radicular cyst and associated sinus tract were operated with the peri-radicular surgical procedure to remove non-healing pathological tissue and to augment the defect with the bioactive bone graft material. As a result, peri-radicular disorders, which were condemned to treatment failure in the past can now be dealt with successfully.
