Conclusion and Future Perspectives

Abstract

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) attract increasing interest because of their outstanding features in biomedical applications. Significant and rapid achievements of EVs for biomedical applications have been witnessed in the recent years. In this chapter, we look into the future and discuss the potential trends and developments of EV-based therapeutics. In addition, we highlight the key challenges, such as quality control, scalability, and safety that limits the clinical and industrial translation of EVs.
