Advances in digital technology 4.0 or 5.0 have caused many systemic disruptions. Disruption of fundamental or fundamental digital technology that causes changes in the life order of all fields, including fields including education and community local wisdom. These changes will gradually eliminate the wisdom of the Indonesian people if there is no strong tradition that fortifies them. Against this background, it is studied how Islamic tradition strengthens local wisdom in the era of disruption. The method used to discuss this study is by studying the literature. The impact of disruption to local wisdom in the era of disruption can be in the form of (1) positive acculturation, (2) negative acculturation, (3) positive assimilation, and (4) negative assimilation. The impact allows local wisdom to remain strong or creates new local wisdom that adds value to original local wisdom (positive acculturation and assimilation) or enriches original local wisdom, and may damage the order of original local wisdom (acculturation and negative assimilation). At the end of the article, it can be concluded that Islamic tradition plays a very important role in maintaining the local wisdom of the community, which is more dominant in the form of positive acculturation and assimilation rather than negative acculturation and assimilation. This is evident from the local wisdom of the Indonesian people that remains in the education curriculum from time to time, and the local wisdom of the Indonesian people in the eyes of the international community is still recognized. ?
