Research Status and Development Trend of 3D Printing Technology

Abstract

As the product of Industry 4.0, Intelligent Manufacturing (IM for short), and the enabling technology, i.e. 3D printing technology, has made rapid development in recent years and widely applied in many fields of social life. Moreover, 3D printing technology is a kind of high-tech manufacturing, which is playing a revolutionary role in the industrial development. Therefore, in order to know the study status and development trend of 3D printing technology, this paper systematically analyzes some typical methods and applications in some fields, as well as predicts its development trend in the future based on the brief introduction to the working principle of 3D printing technology.
