Pengaruh Metode Bercerita Terhadap Karakter dan Keterampilan Menulis Narasi Siswa Kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen

Abstract

This research is based on students' character problems (strengthening character education) and students' unsatisfactory narrative writing skills. In connection with this, this study aims to determine the effect of the Storytelling Method on Students' Character and Narrative Writing Skills of Class III Students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen. This research is a quantitative method. The sample in this study were all students of class III B of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen as the experimental group and all students of class III A of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen as the control group. Collecting data using questionnaires, observation, and tests. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing using the MANOVA test. This study resulted in the following conclusions: (1) There is a significant effect of the storytelling method on the character (strengthening character education) of class III students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen; (2) There is a significant effect of the storytelling method on the narrative writing skills of class III students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen; and (3) There is a significant effect of storytelling method on students' character (strengthening character education) and narrative writing skills of class III students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Kebumen.
