Abstract

The importance of the function of writing in autism has often been noted. However, the interpretation of this phenomenon depends on the conception one has of writing. The graphic productions of an autistic child show the extent to which Derrida's emphasis of the existence of a relationship between writing and violence is of interest for the exploration of the mechanism underlying autism.
