Abstract
Various facets of the fluid mechanics of liquid helium are demonstrated. The governing equations are nonlinear, and hence the motion of fluids demonstrates the complexities of solution of a nonlinear field theory. In this article the liquid is considered strictly as a fluid described by a set of thermodynamic and dynamic variables interrelated by the two-fluid equations of London and Landau.
