Twenty-six knees were scanned after total replacement to evaluate the relationship between bone scan, pain, the presence of a radiolucent line at the bone-cement interface and loosening. A radiolucent line was often accompanied by an increased uptake over the affected condyle, but there was no significant relationship with pain or loosening. © 1982 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
