Abstract

Learning is a change in disposition or ability that a person achieves through activities. The change in disposition is not abtained directly from a person’s natural growth process. Meanwhile, reading is a reading activity in order to abtain information conveyed in reading material, while writing is an activity of expressing ideas/ideas using written language, as a conveying medium. Given the need for education which later became the basis of this program, it was taken in the form of concern and sensitivity towards the condition of students in SD Negeri 2 Amahusu in obtaining education, namely Laerning to read and write (calistung) for elementary school students, so I from the individual thematic community service program of the history education study program decided to be able to make this one of the planned individual thematic community service programs. Therefore, the individual thematic community service program is expected to provide greater benefits for students, namely learning to read and write (calistung) for students elementary school and students, because by holding individual thematic community service programs it can help students solve the problems they face. In addition, students are also expected to be able to gain experience on how to socialize so as to form a person who is social and has good morals when serving the community
