Abstract
ABSTRACT: This article consists of two parts: the first section covers the genesis of a Continuity of Operations Plan after the Disaster Preparedness Committee received a mandate to develop one to supplant earlier, less complex, and more generic disaster plans. The second section of the article reviews a range of resources consulted by the committee members as they researched pandemic planning issues: journal literature; higher education, health, and library professional associations; company disaster recovery planning; federal government resources; and other libraries' Continuity of Operations plans.
