Abstract

Incidence and mortality rates of the prostate cancer are quite different between countries in the world. Such diversity may relate not only with the genetic difference but life style including diet. It is sure that the countries where PSA test widely prevails experience the decrease of the mortality of the prostate cancer. In Japan, 25% of the population is now over 65 years old. Surprisingly, one third of the patients with prostate cancer who were diagnosed at year 2010 are over 75 years old. Adequate selection of the treatment and endeavor to establish prevention strategy are important.
