Abstract
Field observations indicate that Javanese language instruction has not been effective. Indicators include students' lack of enthusiasm, teachers' neglect of students' psychological aspects, a predominantly one-way teaching process, poorly organized teaching materials, and a lack of high motivation for learning Javanese. One way to make Javanese language instruction more engaging and enjoyable is by developing a hypnoteaching-based learning model. The principle of hypnoteaching involves instruction that considers students' psychological aspects, is enjoyable, relaxed, and uses warm and sympathetic communication. The research design employed is the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) Research and Development model. In the Analyze phase, the researcher examines the necessity of developing a hypnoteaching model for Javanese language instruction. The Design phase involves creating a prototype of the hypnoteaching instructional model. The Develop phase focuses on validating the prototype with competent experts. The Implement phase entails testing the model, and the Evaluate phase involves making final revisions to the developed model based on feedback from questionnaires or field notes. The novelty of this model lies in the concept of joyful learning combined with hypnoteaching. The components of the model include syntagmatic, social system, reaction principles, support system, instructional impact, and accompanying impact. The implementation stages (syntagmatic) of the model are: (1) opening the lesson, (2) praying, (3) class agreement, (4) relaxation, (5) presenting the material based on students' learning styles, (6) discussion, (7) ice-breaking activities or games, (8) presenting the results, (9) assessment, and (10) reflection. The developed model was tested in the classroom, and the results proved that the hypnoteaching-based learning model is effective for Javanese language instruction.
