Abstract

Nanocrystallite cobalt ferrites (NCFs) synthesized using co-precipitation technique at different pH values from 09.0 to 13.3. The formation of elastic parameters and spinel arrangement structure evaluated based on FTIR data. The sample with pH ≈ 11 has the highest values of elastic moduli (E = 146 GPa, B = 183 GPa and G = 61 GPa) and Debye temperature (θD = 511 K). This sample may be has a promising future for high temperature and pressure applications. Variation of pH value through fabrication steps of NCFs has a strong impact on the magnetic parameters. Coercivity of the investigated samples is around 1.1 kOe. The samples with (pH ≈ 09.0 and pH ≈ 11) exhibit (hard and soft) ferrite behavior and they have (the largest and the smallest) values of magnetic parameters so that these samples may be select for (the magnetic storage systems and planner microwave devices) respectively. The extinction coefficient, refractive index, absorption coefficient, optical conductivity, optical dielectric constants, and optical band gaps of nanoferro-fluids Co ferrites (NF-CFs) studied. A strong dispersion of imaginary part of dielectric constant ( ε2 ) found around the frequency of resonant close to 103 THz. The optical characterization of NCFs can be tuned by varying pH for using in opto-electronic applications.
