Abstract

Hybrid work as a change in the work situation of many employees, not least triggered by the COVID pandemic—especially in knowledge-intensive professions—challenges the change management of organizations. This article in the journal “Gruppe. Interaktion. Organisation. (GIO)” describes three challenges that organizations must face when transitioning to hybrid work: (1) team effectiveness, (2) team cohesion and organizational commitment, (3) spatial and technical infrastructures. Practical solutions for a participative change management with regard to a human-oriented work design are presented.
