Abstract
Hardiness is a personality where an individual believes in himself/herself to be able to solve all the problems that come in his/her life which are closely related to one's emotions. The objective of this study was to determine the relation between hardiness and emotional regulation in students who are working on their undergraduate thesis at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Sumbawa University of Technology in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a quantitative correlation technique. The sampling technique used in this research was cluster sampling. The research sample consisted of 71 students of the Faculty Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB),, Sumbawa University of Technology. The research data were obtained by using research instruments, namely the Hardiness scale and the Emotional Regulation scale. The results showed that there was a positive relation (correlation) between hardiness and emotional regulation, with a correlation coefficient of0.647 with a calculated p-value = 0.000/(p<0.05). A positive relation shows that the relation occurring is unidirectional, which means that an increase in hardiness is followed by an increase in emotional regulation, and vice versa, a decrease in hardiness is followed by a decrease in emotional regulation.
